The open plan kitchen is very practical and offers ample storage space and comfort. The Oregon pine floors throughout the house adds a whimsical touch of class to the whole atmosphere within the farmhouse. You don’t get those type of floors anymore and there is nothing more than a kid that enjoys hearing the noise that their own footsteps make on a wooden floor😊I know because in my youth I was one of those kids!

The bedrooms I must say are very cosy however only two of them have built-in cupboards. There is a newly built section on the front of the farm house which houses a large interior entertainment area with a bedroom that has an en suite. Now this newly built section serves as a bed and breakfast as and when required.

The only missing piece to this newly built area is an indoor braai but this can be added by the purchaser without too much effort if required.

The garden is neatly kept and in immaculate condition and personally I would just love to have a garden like that. Huge, impressive trees (some older than 500 years old) tower over all and reminds us of just how small we actually are, let alone of how fragile any of us are…Some of them were burned badly during the fires of 2017 but the owner treated them with all the love and care that they needed and they are now thriving, loving life once again. Then there is the biggest fig tree that I have ever seen, standing guard on the side of the house and, oh my word, I CANNOT WAIT TO TASTE THOSE FIGS!!

Fruit trees have been planted in orchards and although the damage of the fires is still very evident, they are growing and bearing fruit, happy to not have burnt down. The 50 Orange Trees, 60 Pear Trees, 20 Fig Trees, Nartjie Trees, Plum trees & Macadamia Nut trees all form part of the wondrous orchard.

A beehive stands proud amongst the huge old queens in the garden and the bees are eagerly producing their golden sweetness, happy to have flowers and space to thrive upon. The owner currently extracts honey twice a year.

Water is provided by a borehole which provides 5000 litres per hour. There is also a second borehole but it is currently unequipped as the current owner feels that borehole that is in use provides him with adequate water for his usage. However, should the need arise, the second borehole can easily be put into play and thereby most certainly more than double the water production. Added to this, there are also water tanks that are present, 2x 2500 litre tanks used to catch the rainwater, 2 X 5000 litre tanks that are being used by pumping water from the borehole and then the other two 5000 litre tanks are being used for combining the rainwater as well as the borehole water.

The homestead is totally fenced off with an electrical fence and not only does it provide safety for the household but also on the overnight holding facilities for livestock.

The outer fence is in a very good condition as well and this assists in keeping the livestock within the parameters of the farm and totally out of harm’s way.

The view from the farm’s hilltop is truly breath-taking in that it overlooks the entire area ranging from as far as Cape St Francis, St Francis Bay and Jeffreys Bay on the one side to the majestic mountains on the other side. Seeing is believing.

There is also a cell phone tower housed on the property which is owned by Igen, this contract can be taken over by the new owner based on the current terms and conditions.

Pastures consists mostly of kikuyu which currently offers grazing to about 20 LSU (Current owner has a month to month contract allowing grazing on his land and this contract can be continued by the new owner). Each camp has water.
